Wine is an integral part of our offering at La Rosa The Strand. Each year executive chef, Nino Zoccali, and group sommelier, Cristian Casarin, travel to Italy to hand select new release vintages and connect with some of Italy’s best emerging producers. These wines are then incorporated into our extensive wine list - and in some cases, we (together with The Restaurant Pendolino) are the only restaurant in Australia to serve them.
We have a strong focus on organic and bio-dynamic wines and are in a unique position to offer many by the glass. We also have an expansive range of Italian aperitifs and boutique beers.
In 2018 and 2019, our unique wine list was recognised by Gourmet Traveller Wine magazine, presenting La Rosa with an esteemed Wine Glass at its Australian Wine List of the Year awards.
Hosted regularly throughout the year, La Rosa The Strand's popular Wine Circle Series sees us partnering with unique, boutique wine, beer and spirit producers, offering a selection of their best products during an express 45 minute masterclass.
Taking place in a dedicated section of our dining room, the Wine Circle masterclasses are an intimate and insightful experience, co-hosted by La Rosa The Strand's group sommelier Cristian Casarin, and a representative from the beverage partner, who will guide you through the tastings and answering any questions you might have.
